Two new shops are set to be added to a Preston city centre retail park.
Queen’s Street retail park has applied to add the two new units alongside the Aldi supermarket on the northern side of the development.
At this stage it is not known which retailers will take the shop.
A small ‘retail pod’ is also to be added opposite the Costa Coffee drive-through at the exit of the retail park leading into Ringway.
Work on the retail units will also see a better pedestrian link between the retail park and Church Street created.
The new retail units would have a combined floor area of 2,091 square metres.

A statement from the Brookhouse Group, owners of the retail park, said: “The proposed development forms part of wider strategy to upgrade the existing shopping park and create an attractive gateway to the City Centre.
“The design approach taken will ensure that the development is of a high quality and inclusive, complementing existing units and continuing the build form of the overall Retail Park
“For these reasons set out above, and discussed in more detail throughout the statement and other supporting documents, it is considered that planning permission should be granted.”
