Firefighters closed a road in Preston city centre due to the risk of a pane of glass falling.
Lancaster Road, close to its junction with Church Street, saw fire crews cordon off the building above Yum Yum takeaway.
Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform to get up to the second floor of the building.
The incident, on Saturday (21 October) from 10.30am, was triggered by a call from the member of public who saw a pane of glass looking unsafe in the strong winds caused by Storm Brian.

The glass was removed from the window and the area made safe.
Crews were on site for around an hour dealing with the glass.
