A former wedding dress shop in Preston city centre is due to reopen as a cafe.

Dan Kerr Brides, in Lancaster Road, closed in April this year after going into administration.

Its expected it will be a Chinese cafe just up from the new Preston Markets redevelopment.

Mrs Zhongmin has tabled proposals via agent Rick Dewhurst for converting the building.

Opening the cafe will create three jobs in total, two full-time and one part-time.

The family run Dan Kerr Bridal had been trading in Preston for more than 100 years.

You can see the full plans for the new cafe and leave comments for planning officers on the city council website.
