A school bus was involved in a crash on Friday morning in Lea.

Around 60 children were onboard when the bus collided with a black van.

The van was sent into a nearby wall by the force of the collision.

The Longridge Coaches vehicle was left damaged in Lea Lane with the van written off.

It took place around 8.20am on Friday (29 September) and the children are thought to be from Broughton High School.

Preston Police said the driver of the bus was taken to hospital as a precaution, as well as two of the schoolchildren and the driver of the van.
