Police are appealing to trace a car and its driver after a man was dragged into a vehicle and then taken to a cash-point where he was robbed.
CCTV pictures have been released following the incident in Penwortham.
A 22-year-old man had been out walking in Walton Avenue, off Cop Lane, around 8pm on September 3.
He was approached by a black SUV car.
The occupants of the car asked for a cigarette lighter, which the man provided.
South Ribble Police say a passenger got out of the car and dragged the victim into the rear of the vehicle and threatened him with a knife.
The man handed over his debit card and bank details and was driven to a cash machine. No funds could be obtained and the man was let go.
Police have released CCTV pictures of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
He was seen at McDonalds in Cherry Tree Road, Blackpool, in the afternoon of September 3.
Detectives say the victim’s debit card was used at the restaurant’s drive-through.

Detective Constable Dominic Webster of Chorley CID said: “An investigation is underway following a robbery in Penwortham.
“The victim has been left shaken and upset by his ordeal.
“While we have made two arrests, we are still appealing for information and are keen to trace this man as part of our enquiries.
“If you know who he is, contact police immediately.”

Two men aged 22 and 33, both from Blackpool, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been released under investigation.
