Police sealed off a shop in Deepdale after a suspected ram-raid in the early hours of Monday morning.
The shutters of Mega Cuts in Harewood Road were left dented after a vehicle is understood to have reversed into them.
Preston Police said they were called at 2.30am on Monday (23 October) to reports of a burglary.
A number of men have searched the shop before making off from the scene.
Shop owner Yousaf Vohra, 71, said: “I got a call from one of my neighbours telling me that someone was trying to break into the shop.
“We don’t know the full damages and losses yet as we have not been allowed to go inside.”

A neighbour living nearby to the shop said: “I woke up to a loug band as if a vehicle had crashed into something.
“I didn’t know what happened at first but was shocked to see what had happened afterwards.”
