Cyclist in ‘serious condition’ after Penwortham crash

A cyclist is in a serious condition in hospital following a crash in Penwortham.

Preston Police sealed off the junction of Kingsway and Liverpool Road shortly before 7pm on Monday (16 October).

A male cyclist was involved in a collision with an Audi A4.

The man, in his 20s, suffered head injuries, a facial fracture, cuts and bruises.

Police said he is thought to be in Royal Preston Hospital in a serious condition.

Liverpool Road at its junction with Kingsway was closed for around four hours following the incident.
