Broughton’s Beer and Pie Festival begins

More than 30 ales and ciders are being drunk in Broughton as its annual beer festival returns.

Broughton Beer and Pie Festival is on at the village’s district club.

Running until Sunday there’s live music every night.

It’s £3 in and this includes your glass. Each half pint is £1.50.

Opening times are Saturday (14 October) from 2pm to 11pm and on Sunday (15 October) it is 12pm to 6pm.

Festival committee member Tim Leedale said: “Come and join us at our CAMRA award winning club.

“We have over 35 real ales and ciders on offer and entertainment all weekend. The homemade pies are a real treat.”

Blog Preston’s ale tip is number 21 Knee Buckler IPA.

They also have a lager, wine and prosecco bar as well as a free cordial bar for designated drivers.

Children are welcome in the day.
