Ambulance called after driver collides with cyclist on Church Street

Emergency services were called after a motorist was involved in a collision with a cyclist this afternoon (October 27).

According, to reports, an ambulance arrived at the scene just after 3pm and a stretcher was used to take the cyclist away.

The driver reportedly came out of the end of Manchester Road onto Church Street, in the city centre, before colliding with the cyclist.

The incident has had no impact on the traffic through the area.
