Woman escapes serious injury after car flips in Penwortham

A motorist had a lucky escape after their car overturned in Penwortham.

The 55-year-old female driver was treated for minor injuries by paramedics at the scene after the crash on Monday (11 September).

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Penwortham Way to help the woman free from the red Jaguar Sovereign V8 which had come off the road.

The crash took place around 10.25am at the junction with Chain House Lane.

Preston Police closed the road for a short period while the car was recovered.

No arrests have been made and no other vehicles were involved.
