A string of live music performances at Preston’s main museum have been confirmed.

The Harris Live is returning, as reported by Blog Preston last month, with evening shows on the first Wednesdy of every month.

Northern String Quartet, Daniella Gallagher, The Well-Dressed Gentlemen, Beer for Breakfast and the UCLan Chamber Choir have all signed up to perform.

All shows are £8 each and here’s who is playing when at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.

Wednesday 4 October, 7.30pm-9.30pm – Northern String Quartet

Rapidly rising in the chamber music world the performers were all trained at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music.

Wednesday 1 November, 7.30pm-9.30pm – Daniella Gallagher

Danielle Gallagher is one of those performing

She’s brought her first-class vocals to the city many times and Daniella does a wide range of styles from blues, rock and roll to modern chart toppers.

Wednesday 6 December, 7.30pm-9.30pm – The Well-Dressed Gentlemen

Classic and novelty songs from the roaring 20s and 30s bring a touch of smoky New Orleans bars to the Harris.

Wednesday 7 February, 7.30pm-9.30pm – Beer for Breakfast

The loudest of the Harris Live shows sees high octane Celtic rock.

Beer for Breakfast are one of the liveliest bands in the UK Irish music scene.

Wednesday 7 March, 7.30pm-9.30pm – UCLan Chamber Choir

The UCLan Chamber Choir

Award-winning singers from the University of Central Lancashire will fill the Harris with passionate songs.

Singing music from the Renaissance to the present day expect a varied performance.

You can join the Chamber Choir by booking via Skiddle.

No show is taking place on the first Wednesday of January.
