Junior Miss Britain, Elli Westwood, is doing a skydive in memory of Ben Ashworth and in the hope of raising money for charity.
The former Junior Miss Preston 2016 will tackle the challenge on 14 December 2017 in Lancashire.
All proceeds will be going to The Rosemere Cancer Foundation, a charity set up in order to support world class cancer treatment throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria, and give the best possible care for cancer patients.
Elli had originally planned to do the charity skydive with the inspirational marathon runner Ben.
However after he sadly passed away from bowel cancer in July, aged 38, Elli now wants to complete the challenge in his memory.
Elli said: “The inspirational Ben Ashworth passed away recently and lost his life to Bowel Cancer after fighting the disease for five years.
“Ben inspired me with his positive ‘can do’ attitude.
“Ben and I had planned to do a skydive together.
“Now that isn’t possible I will be doing the skydive alone in memory of Ben himself. ”
