Months of hard work ahead of a new small business opening in Preston appear to have gone to waste.
Mum-of-two Lisa Browett from Fulwood was preparing to launch her fast-food venture The Pattie Shack.
On Saturday (16 September) evening into the early hours of Sunday morning the trailer, kitted out for around £8,000, was taken from a driveway in Lea.
Ms Browett, 37, had planned to use the trailer to serve full English breakfasts and Caribbean food at lunchtime.
She said: “I’m a single mum so this was my only income source for now and I’ll really struggle after this.
“Even if someone has taken it and they dump it – with all the appliances taken out – I would be happy with that. I just want it back.
“I was made redundant in July so we had been working towards finding a spot to trade from.”

The trailer was parked in the Greaves Town Lane area – at Ms Browett’s sister’s boyfriend’s place – when it was taken.
She has released a number of CCTV pictures she claims are the men involved in taking it.
Her Facebook appeal has been shared more than 800 times, calling for the return of the trailer.
The incident has been reported to Preston Police who confirmed they are investigating the theft.
