They will be playing against the University of Nottingham hockey team.
The club has recently seen several changes over the summer months, including merging the ladies and mens teams together along with increasing coaching.
The club is excited to welcome the coach from the Great British Olympic Team, Peter Nicholson, as their new coach who will be taking on a wider role within the club.
Will Rainford, the club treasurer, said: “With dedicated coaches for the mens, ladies and junior teams, the club is in a great position going forward.
“It’s now crunch time as the teams the mens 1st and 2nd teams play their first home game.
“They are the top two teams in Lancashire by some distance due to the quality of coaching and we have attracted lots of new players from Manchester and further afield.
“We had our best ever finish last season when we ended sixth in the North League.
“Our aim this year is to do better than that.”
