A new sandwich shop has opened near a busy Ashton-on-Ribble junction.

What was The Lunchbox in Strand Road, near the Water Lane junction, is back open with new owners and a new name.

Darren and Clare Gallagher, both 39 and from Ashton, have taken on the butty shop and reopened it on Tuesday (29 August).

Opening from 7am the Stuffed sandwich shop brings back into use a space which has stood empty since Christmas.

Stuffed opens from 7am selling a full breakfast menu until 11.30am, followed by a lunch menu including jacket potatoes and salad boxes.

Darren said: “Clare used to work at the shop under the previous owner and so has been enjoying seeing the regulars again and meeting new customers.

“We’re working to get the delivery services back up and running again, and we’re also going to be providing corporate lunches.”
