Man rescued from flat after kitchen fire in New Hall Lane

Fire crews were out in New Hall Lane on Sunday tea time to put out a kitchen fire.

Two fire engines from Preston attended the fire at a flat around 5.11pm on Sunday (24 September).

They led a man to safety from the flat and put out the blaze.

North West Ambulance Service took the person involved to hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is not known at this stage.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service confirmed a 30-year-old man had been injured and was taken to hospital for treatment.
