Police are searching for an Asian man after two sex workers were attacked in Preston.
A man approached two women in St Mary’s Street off New Hall Lane.
Following a brief conversation he grabbed one of the prostitute’s bags and attempted to assault her.
Both women fought back against the attacker and following a fight which left one of the women, aged 30, with bite marks on her arm.
The other woman, aged 29, was punched by the man in the incident which took place around 10pm on Thursday (28 September).
Preston Police are appealing to trace an Asian man, in his mid-30s and around 5’7″.
He was wearing blues jeans and blue shoes with white soles.
Police say the man is likely to have significant scratch marks to his face and neck, along with a bite mark to his ear.

Detective Constable Ian Zanelli said: “This was clearly a shocking and frightening ordeal for the victims and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify the suspect.
“We are very keen to hear from anyone who saw a man fitting the description in the area around the time of the offence.
“I would urge anyone with information to contact police. We believe the attacker will have suffered some injuries during the altercation. Any information will be treated in the strictest confidence.”
