Fire crews rushed to a property in Ribbleton on Saturday night when a late-night pizza went wrong.

A 999 call reported someone might be trapped inside a house in Silverdale Drive, Ribbleton.

Three fire engines, two from Preston and one from Penwortham, were called out at 11.16pm on Saturday (9 September).

They arrived to find no one was inside the house but an overcooked pizza had generated a lot of smoke coming from the property.
