One of Preston’s grottiest streets in the city centre could be seeing major investment.
AdvertisementEastern Estates have tabled plans for a new ten storey block of flats and shops in Church Row.
Tucked away behind the Guild Hall and opposite the Blitz nightclub the development would have shops on the ground floor and 69 apartments above it.
1618 Architects explain how the flats would have space for 153 residents and be a ‘modern piece of contemporary architecture’.
They propose the flats would be 18 one-bed apartments, 18 two-bed apartments and 33 two-to-three bed apartments.
Former paint-flaking warehouses in Church Row would be knocked down to make way for the development.
