Hundreds of runners made their way along the banks of the River Ribble for a new 10k and half marathon.
The Conlon Ribble Way Run took place on Sunday 10 September and also included a 3km fun run.
The route started and finished at The Dolphin Inn in Marsh Lane, Longton.
Runners took in part of the Ribble Way footpath, crossing fields, stiles and kissing gates.
Half marathon winner was Michael Cayton of Horwich PMI in one hour, 17 minutes and 43 seconds and the 10k was won by Kevin Hunt of Preston Harriers in a time of 40 minutes and 56 seconds.
Junior winner as Katie Mathieson who won the 3k fun run.

Chairman of Conlon Construction Michael Conlon said: “As a Preston-based company, we’re proud to support local initiatives such as this. The Conlon Ribble Way Run was a great success and enjoyed by everyone who participated.”
Planning for next year’s run has begun after the success of this year’s race.
