Appeal to trace missing Preston schoolgirl

A schoolgirl has gone missing triggering a police appeal.


Update: Police said Melanie was found safe and well on Saturday evening and thanked the public for sharing the appeal

Preston Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned about the whereabouts of Melanie Harvey.

The 14-year-old was last seen leaving Corpus Christi High School in Fulwood around 11am on Friday (22 September).

Melanie is slim, 5’4″, and has blonde hair usually worn down or in a pony tail.

She was last seen wearing her school uniform which is a black jumper with the Corpus Christi motif and black school trousers.

Police say she is thought to still be in the Preston area.
