Woman released on bail as Preston murder investigation continues

A Preston woman has been released on bail by police.

The 22-year-old was arrested during Thursday (3 August) on suspicion of murder.

It followed the death of a 26-year-old man in Royal Preston Hospital after he was found with stab wounds.

Preston Police were called to Geoffrey Street, off Ribbleton Lane, St Matthews, just after midnight on Thursday.

They found a man with wounds to his stomach. He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.

Police have set the bail date for the woman as Thursday 31 August.

A murder investigation continues into the man’s death.
