An urban explorer from Preston has gone inside a former cinema in the city centre.

What was the Odeon has stood empty for decades.

Urban exploration duo Exploring with Fighters, one half of which is from Preston, took a look around.

During the 18minute clip he goes through the old cinema hall, what was originally the New Vic, and sees row of empty seats – covered in dust.

In 2010 a campaign group was set up – the Friends of Preston’s New Victoria – to try and find a new use for the cinema.

However, it ultimately failed to attract members or find a solution.

The building is understood to be owned by multi-millionaire and Guild Hall operator Simon Rigby.
