Three lorries involved in M6 crash near Preston

Long delays are building on the M6 due to a crash involving three lorries.

Two lanes of the motorway are closed to the south of Preston.

The crash, shortly before Junction 28 on the northbound carriageway, took place around 8am on Thursday (3 August).

The northbound slip road at Junction 28 is shut.

Highways England is advising delays of around an hour are being experienced.

Three lorries were involved and an oil spill is still on the carriageway.

Normal traffic conditions are expected by 4pm on Thursday.
