The Sounds Of Soul and Motown show is coming to Glovers Bar, in Preston city centre, on Friday 1 September.

The event, which starts at 8pm, is being hosted by local singer and entertainer Daniella Gallagher.

She will be joined by X-Factor star Paul Akister.

Paul is a soul powerhouse and since the X-Factor, he has spent time in the USA writing and producing new music as well as appearing nationwide in festivals and shows.

Preston’s own Soul DJ, Des Grant, one of the finest in the North West, will also be taking part in the show.

The event is being supported by businessman Robert Binns and Club manager Chlesea Chard. It will also be sponsored by Millers Taxis.

Daniella Gallagher, organiser, said: “It’s a real coup for us to have Paul at this, the third Sounds Of Soul And Motown show we have produced this year.

“Also Des is a well established and respected DJ who has performed all over the world and his knowledge of Soul and Motown knows no bounds so it’s wonderful to have him on board.
