Police helicopter called out to trace burglary suspect in Lostock Hall

Police are still hunting for a man after a suspected burglary and car chase in Lostock Hall.

Residents were awoken by the sound of the police helicopter overhead during the early hours of Wednesday (23 August).

Lancashire Police were called to reports of a burglary in Laburnum Avenue, off Brownedge Road, at 1.30am.

Two men made off in an Audi and pulled out in-front of an unmarked police car.

They abandoned the car and police gave chase – catching and arresting one man.

NPAS Barton was called in to support the search but a second man is still at large.
