Gin lovers are in for a treat as Plungington Gin Festival approaches.
The Plungington Hotel, located at 67 Lytham Road, Fulwood, is to hold three days of gin festivities taking place over August Bank Holiday Weekend.
From 25 – 28 August, the pub will be teaming up with PLAU Gin & Beerhouse to bring their first ever gin festival of this size.
The event will be taking place in a botanical marquee set in the Plungington Hotel’s walled Victorian Garden.
There is promised to be more than 100 different gins to sample, each having their very own signature serve.
The Bread and Butter Popup Cocktail bar, most recently seen at Crafty Vintage, will also be joining the festival for the weekend.
There will be a selection of Cocktail Masterclass provided, ran by cocktail guru Tiago Velasco who collaborates with the likes of Tattu, Manchester, and Street Feast, London.
For those who aren’t big gin fans, there will also be a specialist wine and whiskey stall, showcasing a full range of styles from Peaty Islays to Bourbons.
Beer will also be represented with a mini craft and cask bar.
The pub’s outdoor country kitchen will be providing a fantastic range of drinks and a wide variety of food such as grilled meats, fish, halloumi kebabs, king prawn skewers and vegetarian options.
Entertainment will be provided by Matt and Annabel of Vintage78DJs, usually found spinning tunes for BBC Countryfile live show, and River Cottage and Bestival.
They will be bringing their Edwardian fete, country and lawn games, classic croquet, coconut shy’s, skittle alleys, hoopla and much more.
