A three-day beer festival is returning to Penwortham for the Bank Holiday Weekend.
Pints will be raised at Penwortham Cricket Club in Greenbank Road, off Leyland Road, from Friday afternoon onwards.
This year’s festival includes a guest appearance from former Miss England Elizabeth Grant who is from Preston.
The beauty queen will be compering a charity auction during the Saturday evening in aid of Derian House.
Real ale, cider and prosecco will all be on tap – along with scrumpy, whiskey cider and more.
Doors open on Friday 25 August from 4.30pm and there’s 20-20 cricket to enjoy. Food on offer includes a BBQ and freshly made pizza.

On Saturday 26 August the doors open at 12noon and out on the green it is Penwortham XI versus Croston XI.
During the evening it is Ribblet City V, Preston’s premiere ukulele rock band and Old Skool Idles.
Sunday’s (27 August) event starts at 12noon and includes the 20-20 game between Penwortham Cricket Club and Vernons Cricket Club. The BBQ is on again.
Entry is £5 on the door and includes a pint, commemorative glass and programme.
