Murder investigation launched after Deepdale man’s death

A man has died after a knife attack in the St Matthews area.

Preston Police have launched a murder inquiry after the incident in the early hours of Thursday (3 August).

Police were called to a property in Geoffrey Street, off Ribbleton Lane shortly after midnight.

They found a 26-year-old man with a stab wound to his stomach.

He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but died a short time later.

A 22-year-old woman from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in police custody.
