Man charged in connection with Dylan Crossey death

A Preston man has been charged by police in connection with the death of a teenager in October last year.

Around 11pm on October 7, Dylan Crossey, 15, was cycling along Chain House Lane towards Penwortham Way when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle.

Dylan suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment but sadly died.

A man was later arrested by police and released on bail.

David Harwood, 42, of The Close, New Longton, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and two offences of driving a motor vehicle dangerously yesterday (Monday, August 7).

He has been bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on August 24.
