Police believe a teenager missing from home could be in Preston.

Katie Lawson, from Wigan, is thought to be in the Church Street or Avenham Park areas of the city.

The 17-year-old was last seen in Delph Street, Wigan, around 11.30pm on Thursday 27 July.

Katie is described as white, medium build with green eyes and dark brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a navy blue top, jeans, trainers and a black headband.

If anyone has seen Katie or has any information on her whereabouts police would urge them to get in touch. Similarly police are urging Katie herself, if she sees this appeal, to make contact with them so that they can be sure she is safe.
