One of TV fashion’s biggest names is coming to Preston.
Gok Wan is the guest of honour at the city’s student shopping lock-in.
He’ll be appearing and DJing live at the tenth annual event in the St George’s Shopping Centre on Tuesday 3 October.
Gok will also be handing over £1,000 to one luck student shopper, and meeting students.
Manager of the St George’s centre Andrew Stringer said: “The event is always a firm favourite in the calendar, offering students the chance to get savvy with their spending – taking advantage of the massive discounts, while making the most of the freebies and competitions on offer on the night.
“With Gok on board for our tenth annual event, and of course the chance to win £1,000, this year’s ShopFest is set to be an unrivalled experience. It’ll make a real buzz in the city.”

Shopfest, as the event is branded, runs from 6pm to 9pm and is free – although tickets must be registered for in advance.
Fashion expert Gok said: ‘‘I’m really looking forward to coming to ShopFest and meeting loads of the city’s fab students. I can’t wait to play some absolute classics for you and have a great time together.”
Anyone wanting to attend, from the University of Central Lancashire or surrounding further education colleges, can register via the Shop Fest website.
