Ashton biker appeals for return of his Yamaha bike

A biker has seen his beloved bike of 17 years stolen.

Howard Knight, from Ashton-on-Ribble, discovered his Yamaha R6 was taken on Wednesday (2 August) morning.

It was taken from his home in Blackpool Road, opposite Ashton Park, sometime overnight from Tuesday (1 August) into the Wednesday.

The silver bike is a T49 FFV and has huge sentimental value.

His daughter, Emily Knight, said: “There have been several thefts over a number of days.

“My Dad has woken up to his pride and joy being taken by some low life. It is absolutely devastating.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Preston Police on 101 quoting log number 220 on 2 August.
