Three men in balaclavas steal cash from Bamber Bridge bank

Three men in balaclavas made off with a ‘substantial amount’ of cash from a bank this morning (July 19).

The incident occurred at around 6am at a Royal Bank of Scotland branch in Station Road, Bamber Bridge.

The three men, who were in a blue BMW, chased a security guard who was filling up one of the ATMs. He dropped a substantial amount of cash during his escape.

A police cordon went up in the area at around 6.30am in the morning which extended from the Gee Tee’s store until the zebra crossing.

Police are currently investigating and enquiries are ongoing to trace the offenders.
