One of the most recognisable cafes in Preston closed down last weekend (July 22).
Beautiful Planet, a vegetarian cafe in Friargate, has closed in its current premises but left hope that it may reopen in future.
They said that last Saturday would be their final day of trading.
The statement on their Facebook page said: “Thank you for all your support these last 6 ¼ years.
“We have had people in from every background on Earth and very many people have made very many friends and been involved in many great adventures as a consequence of their encounters in our little meeting place. Memories are many and good.
“We are to take a break – now our lease is up – but promise to re-open after we’ve beaten this fracking.

“We cannot sit around and drink tea whilst our friends fight this great threat to both our health and the planet’s.”
Some of the furniture from Beautiful Planet is currently on sale.
The community-run cafe had originally been housed further up Friargate but relocated in 2014.
They regularly hosted events such as poetry nights and meditation alongside campaigning around issues such as fracking.
