A delay to work on Preston Bus Station’s car park is to see fewer parking spaces available for the city’s graduation ceremonies.
Starting on Monday 10 July the award events take place throughout the week at Preston Guild Hall.
The bus station is the main car park for the ceremonies but levels four and five are still being worked on.
The University of Central Lancashire is advising those attending the graduations to ensure they have alternative parking arrangements if the Bus Station becomes full.

Lancashire County Council is working on a multi-million pound restoration of the grade-II listed building – closing off parts of the car parks a few levels at a time.
Project manager for the Bus Station revamp Andrew Barrow said: “We had hoped that this could be ready ahead of schedule for UCLan’s graduation week, but this has not been possible due to an unscheduled issue, which is now being resolved.
“This means that there will be fewer spaces than usual during next week. People may need to make alternative arrangements during the graduation week, as this is usually a very busy time.”
He said he expects levels four and five to be open for Monday 17 July – with work moving onto levels one and two.
Work on another part the new concourse has been completed and is due to re-open on Monday (10 July).
The first revamped section of the concourse, around stand 34-35, was back in public use in early May.
