Lycra-clad riders are preparing to pedal two epic routes from Avenham Park for the city’s annual cycle festival.
Pedalfest is returning to the city centre with a family fun day on the park during Sunday (23 July).
Two longer rides are also planned with a 67-mile and 37-mile cycle sportive marked out.
The family festival starts at 10am and runs until 4pm and includes a climbing tower, face painting, electric bike demos, balance bikes and much more fun on two wheels.

For the more energetic the two cycle sportives begin from 8am with 20 riders starting every two minutes.
Registration is open at the park from 7am and it’s £20 for the short course and £25 for the long course. Entries have already closed for both routes, and full information for riders signed up can be found on the Epic Events website.
