A new sports bar will be opening its doors in Preston City Centre later this year.

Wings & Beer Co is the new business making its way to Cannon Street in the coming weeks.

Lee Dalziel, the owner, told Lancashire Post that the new establishment will be a high-end design with mostly tables, private booths with private TV’s, and a place that you would ‘typically expect to find in Manchester and Liverpool.’

He said it will be a food orientated sports bar and will serve American style ‘game day food’, such as chicken wings, nachos, and sliders.

As a meat trader, Lee is keen to serve British produce for the American styled menu to promote the uniqueness of this particular sports bar, and offer something different.

There will also be a range of sports shown as opposed to simply football, like most other sport bars.

Lee wants to have niche sports, like motorsport, on as well as popular sports such as tennis, golf and football.

The vision for the bar is to have four sports showing simultaneously, provide an unrivalled range of craft beers and to be open all day every day.

The bar’s location, just off Fishergate, has been vacant for a number of months but was previously the Ocean bar and grill.

There will be a grand opening for the bar in the coming months, and it already has a strong social media presence.
