A new jewellery store is planning to open in a Preston city centre shopping centre.
Peter Jackson the Jeweller is bringing Thomas Sabo to the St George’s Shopping Centre.
It will be the first independently owned Thomas Sabo store in the UK.
Managing director Peter Jackson MBE said: “This is a really exciting addition to the Preston shopping scene and we are delighted to be working with one of the most highly respected jewellery brands in the world. The new shop opens in a few weeks and will be absolutely stunning.”
Mr Jackson said around eight jobs are being created with the opening of the Sabo shop.
Managing director of Thomas Sabo UK & Ireland Jon Crossick said: “Thomas Sabo has always been a champion of Town Centre retailing and believes in supporting local business. To be able to deliver a Thomas Sabo branded store to the area, which is also connected to one of the leading independent jewellery boutiques is a fantastic opportunity. We are delighted to be working with Peter Jackson on this new venture.”

It will take the former Vodafone shop in the shopping centre, next door to the existing Peter Jackson jewellers shop.
St George’s shopping centre manager Andrew Stringer said: ““We’re all very excited to welcome the new Thomas Sabo store to St. George’s, this is a hugely popular brand of jewellery so it’s an excellent addition to our tenant line-up and I’m sure it’ll be a great hit with Preston shoppers.”
The shop is due to open in late July.
