Fire crews tackle suspected arson involving two vans

Crews from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service were called to extinguish two vans on fire early this morning (July 24).

The incident was in a car park in Bleasdale Street East, Preston, at around 3.37am.

Firefighters from Preston used hosereel jets to extinguish the fire and there were no casualties.

Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service has notified the police of suspected arson.

A statement said: “Firefighters from Preston used two hosereel jets to extinguish fires involving two vans on a car park. Police notified of suspected arson.

“There were no casualties.”
