A date for Prestfest returning next year has been confirmed.

Organisers Preston Business Improvement District has moved quickly to confirm when the outdoor concert and entertainment is to take place.

This year’s event was on the second weekend of July – but in 2018 it will move forward.

May Bank Holiday is to be the new date, and Prestfest is due to be a combination of outdoor concerts on the Flag Market as well as day-time events in a variety of venues.

Most events will be free or a low-ticket price.

This year’s concert was headlined by Tom Zanetti and Fatman Scoop.

Prestfest will run from Friday 4 May to Sunday 6 May.
