Crews from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service were called to a fire early this morning (July 12).
One fire engine from Preston attended the scene in Great George Street at approximately 6.12am.
Smoke was seen coming from a van parked by the roadside.
Fire crews decided that a bucket of water would be sufficient to deal with the fire.
No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.

A statement from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said: “Smoke was coming from the engine compartment of a van at the roadside.
“A fire engine and crew from Preston were assigned to the incident and firefighters found a bucket of water was sufficient to dowse the fire.
“There were no casualties. The cause of the fire is to be established.”
