Fire crews responded to a house fire in the Ribbleton area this evening (July 17).
Two fire engines from Preston attended a kitchen fire at a property in Raikes Road at around 9.29pm.
The fire was already extinguished when they arrived but the property was smoke-logged and had to be ventilated.
Two people were treated by paramedics after inhaling smoke from the fire.

A statement from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said: “Two fire engines from Preston attended a kitchen fire at a property on Raikes Road.
“The fire was out on arrival but it was heavily smoke logged and firefighters used a ventilation unit to clear the smoke from the property.
“Two people were treated at the scene by paramedics for smoke inhalation.”
