Motorists are being warned to expect disruption on Tuesday (11 July) during roadworks on a major Preston route.
Lancashire County Council has confirmed exactly when Guild Way and part of Ringway is to shut.
Original plans had both sides of the A59 route to and from the city centre being closed, but it will now only be the route heading out of the city centre.
Highways officials say it will be shut from Corporation Street near the Premier Inn to the slip road towards Strand Road on Marsh Lane.
A diversion will be in place via Corporation Street, Fishergate Hill and Strand Road.

The roadworks are due to take place from 9.30am to 3.30pm on the day.
Highways manager Phil Baird said: “We’re aware that this work to a very busy route in the centre of Preston could cause some delays, and are letting people know so they can leave extra time for their journeys on Tuesday.
“We’re trying to minimise disruption as far as possible by doing it outside of peak times.
“We’re grateful for people’s patience while this vital maintenance is carried out.”
The northbound side of Guild Way will not be affected, and vehicles will still be able to turn into and out of Bow Lane as the work will not affect this junction.
A further closure is planned for 1-2 hours early on the morning of Saturday 15 July to apply a seal to the new surface, however this treatment can only be done in dry conditions and may be delayed if the weather is wet.
