Car recovered after crashing off the M6 at Preston

A motorist was treated for minor injuries after a car came off the M6 to the north of Preston.

One lane was closed northbound between Junction 32 (Broughton) and Junction 33 (Garstang).

The incident took place around 1.30pm on Sunday (30 July).

The driver involved is understood to have minor injuries although the air ambulance was called as a precaution.

All lanes reopened on the motorway around 2.30pm and traffic has returned to normal levels.
