A seven-year-old boy is in hospital following a crash in Preston city centre on Sunday afternoon.

Preston Police shut Queen Street, near the retail park – which includes Aldi and The Range – shortly after 4pm.

Police confirmed a boy had been hurt in the incident, which they described as a ‘serious road traffic collision’.

The air ambulance was called and landed at the retail park.
