Two arrested after police use stinger to end car chase

Two men were arrested following a pursuit on the M55 early this morning (June 5).
A police patrol stopped a white Audi A3 between junctions 1 and 3 at approximately 2.15am.
The car then drove off as police approached the vehicle.
Police gave pursuit along the M55 eastbound and the car was brought to a stop at Broughton Circle using a stinger and dog patrol unit.

A man tried to flee the scene but was quickly apprehended.
The driver was arrested after he gave a positive roadside breath test and the passenger was wanted in West Yorkshire.
Both men are in custody.
