A shoe store is making the short walk from one shopping street to a shopping centre in Preston.

Fishergate Shopping Centre has announced Shoe Zone is moving into one of its units.

The shop closed down in Friargate after 10 years.

Fishergate Shopping Centre manager Keith Mitchell said: “Shoe Zone is a well loved brand in Preston and the product range will perfectly complement our extensive fashion offer. The new store is going to be a fantastic addition to the retail mix here at Fishergate and we’re excited to see what they have in store.”

The store opens on Saturday 1 July and will be on the third level next to Evans, where Designer Meanswear used to be.
