A keen Preston runner has warned others after claiming she was grabbed while out running in the city.
Lyndsey Walker, 23, was in the New Hall Lane area on Tuesday (27 June) when the incident took place.
She said: “I was running this morning, around 6am, and a man grabbed me from behind.
“I can’t imagine his intentions were honourable. Luckily I managed to bite him and he let go and I was able to run off.”
Lyndsey, who is a keen Park runner, posted an appeal to her Facebook page and asked people to share it. It has been shared nearly 500 times since being posted on Tuesday morning.
The incident has been reported to Preston Police. Lyndsey said officers attended and took details from her.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called at around 6.15am to reports a woman had been grabbed from behind while out running in the Skeffington Road area of Preston.
“She bit the offender and he let go, at which point she ran off. The offender is described as a white male, wearing a thin, black jacket.”
