Police warning after burglary spree overnight in Hoghton

Several burglaries were reported in Hoghton last night

Police have issued a warning to residents in Hoghton after several reports of thefts overnight.

Several incidents were reported last night (June 13) and in all cases it was known that the property was insecure or there was no sign of forced entry.

The burglaries included items taken from cars, houses and sheds.

A statement from South Ribble Police said: “There have been several reports of burglaries and thefts from vehicles overnight in Hoghton.

“In all cases the vehicle, home or shed were known to be insecure or there was no sign of forced entry.

“Please ensure your homes are secure before you go to bed (doors locked and windows secure), and your vehicles are locked.”
